Here’s another nice film from Billy Yang….this time about obstacle course and ultra-marathon runner, Amelia Boone.
At the beginning of the video, she mentions that she had to postponeĀ her first ultra-marathon because of a stress fracture of her femur.
A stress fracture of her femur!
Man.
That’s a big bone.
That’s a bone that breaks hard.
How hard are you training to stress fracture your femur?
This is a video with a great insight towards the end of the film where she says that the race is the celebration of the training….and how much she now loves to train.
That’s a good conclusion to arrive at.
How often is the “race” the only thing we see?
How much do we miss because we focus on the end instead of really paying attention to the things that get us to the “conclusion”?
Running is a good thing.
I need to run a little bit farther than just “Jeep to porch” again.
I need to lace up the shoes and open the door.
