Off grid….mortgage free….24 years old.
That’s what you call “taking care of business”.
Now, some folks may not think that this is the way to go.
It’s funky in a lot of ways…but….in a lot of ways it’s very cool.
When you have your stuff together….and you aren’t carrying a lot of debt….it frees you up to pursue a good lifestyle.

I didn’t know how much a new Ford Transit van sold for….so I looked it up….and it looks like it’s around 25,000 to 35,000 dollars….plus the cost of conversion….so it’s not a really cheap way to go.
Hip…but not cheap.
But….if you’re living in an expensive place like California….or, even, ASHEVILLE (!!)….it might be a good way to go.
Bunch of hipsters….living in vans.

This is what running should be about.
Not the equipment….not the fame…not the victories…but for the activity….getting out in nature and just running.

I stopped using Facebook a couple of years ago.
It was making me sad.
That’s a strange thing….that something I choose to use (or not) could make me sad like that…but it did.
I enjoyed keeping up with what my friends were doing….but the stuff that was going on around the edges of all that was depressing after a while.
We weren’t really relating to each other.
We weren’t always acting like “friends”.
Facebook is a tool.
It’s a tool that’s using us, though.
We are swimming in the heating water….frogs who don’t notice that it’s not a good place to choose to swim in….boiling soon.
