We had some patty melts tonight….and Jenny asked me when the last time I had one of these sandwiches was.

I told her that it might have been at a Woolworth’s lunch counter.

That was a while back, though.

You don’t see many Woolworth lunch counters anymore.

I don’t think that you see any Woolworth’s stores at all anymore.

I wasn’t sitting in or anything, though, when I was there.

I was just eating a sandwich.

That was some crazy stuff that happened the year I was born.

I’m glad that things aren’t quite as bad as they used to be.

I do still love patty melts, too.
