keep it between the fenceposts

It snowed like a real mother today.

I don’t know what “real mother” really means….but it sounds kind of hip or something.

So….I’ll stick with that.

It snowed hard.

Like a real mother.

When I was going to go out in bad weather, my Dad used to say, “keep it between the fenceposts!”

I love that saying….good advice.

And….today….I did.

Even though I slipped and I slided, I kept it “between the fenceposts”.

Having the responsibility of delivering the mail makes a joyride a little less joyful….but I still like driving around in harsh weather.

When I got home I watched a Troll Holiday special with the little guys….and, for some reason, I thought of Soul Train and the guys dancing down the line….keeping it between the fenceposts.

Man….it’s good to make it home.

That’s the best part of the day….making it back home.
