Heard this today….a jazz version of the Allman Brothers’ song “Whipping Post”.
Good stuff.
I listened to a lot of Allman Brothers in High School….usually with limited interest.
I liked them…but I was more of a “Beatles guy”.
What a great band.
I guess that I resented living in the south and being “subjected” to Southern Rock….just because I lived in the south.
I was wrong to think that.
The Almanns were a jazz band.
Duane was like Coltrane.
Great stuff.
I was cyber-stalking a buddy this morning when I came across this video.
It’s a nice version of “Sunny” by a group called Farley’s Angels.
My buddy isn’t in this group.
He was in this commercial a while ago.
I don’t remember him ever wearing this much makeup when we were hanging out.
Crazy times.
Google?
Crazy.
My buddy’s name is Marc.
He’s playing the fairy.
Awwww….
Noah Gundersen is pretty great.
Great enough to sit through some lame interviewing to listen to three songs in nineteen minutes.
That’s kind of a shame.
I wish they’d let the guys on this show play more and I wish the host would talk less.
Wish…wish…wish.
A bunch of fishes.
If you don’t know Noah’s music….check him out.
The stuff he does with his brothers and sisters is good, too.
If you have talent…you don’t need autotune.
This guy doesn’t need autotune.
Allen Stone with a three song set from the Paste Studio in NYC.
It’s good to hear real music.
I heard an interview with Finneas where he said that one of the things he wanted to avoid was being considered “good for his age”.
Man.
This dude is good for any age.
Funny how all that goes….
And…funny how it goes when your little sister is famous.
Of course….she and Finneas are a strong team…so who she is now is in huge part because of who they were together growing up in a creative and musical family.
Anyway….now it’s Finneas’ turn…
Do you know who his sister is?
Her name is Billie.
Josh Ritter grew up in Moscow, Idaho.
Now, just look at him!
They grow up so fast!
Alejandro Aranda!
This is the dude who made American Idol surprisingly watchable again…for a moment.
Anybody who can coax a duet with Ben Harper has got to be good.
What a good thing it is to “not win”, too.
It’s good to see real musicians featured on a show like that.
I wonder how that happened?
