This is a Honda Odyssey….but our old Caravan is about the same size.
Why are so many of the videos about “going”?
It’s cool to see a minivan conversion, too.

When I’m going to sleep, I shouldn’t think about things like this.
We have a red Neon sitting in the driveway right now….a victim of a broken timing belt.
When the timing belt breaks, you bend all your valves.
When you bend all your valves, you end up doing this job.
How do you do this in a driveway when you have no time and it’s raining on your days off?
That’s a good question.
How do you get any of the things you need to do done when you don’t have any time?
That’s not something you need to think about when you’re trying to get to sleep.
You shouldn’t think about anything when you’re trying to go to sleep.
You shouldn’t think.
There’s a lot of great music in America.
There’s a lot of great music all around the world, too, though.
Check out this guy from Finland!
I take it back….YouTube is pretty cool for discovering new music.
I take it back.
I don’t know exactly what I feel about the “tiny house movement”.
If they were all like this guy’s house, I’d feel like they were all cool and worthwhile.
If they were like a lot of the horrible, trend-following cookie cutter bites of expensive weirdness that I’ve seen since the movement became more common….I’d never want to see another one in my WHOLE LIFE(!!)
This is more in line with what I feel a good cabin should be.
And….that’s really what a “tiny house” is….a cabin on a trailer frame that can get you around the local code and provide a less expensive way to live.
Most days lately, I wonder if I’m going to end up living in a van sometime in the future.
A little place like this looks pretty expansive in comparison to a van.
This is a really nice tiny home…one of the nicer ones I’ve seen lately.
The video is from a great YouTube channel called Exploring Alternatives. You can find more of their videos HERE.
Here’s the latest from Billy Yang….this time the story of Dave Mackey, whose leg was crushed by a 300 lb. boulder on a training run.
What do I have to complain about?
What’s stopping me from starting to run again?
This is pretty darn inspirational.
Here’s the YouTube description:
On May 23, 2015, the unimaginable happened to Altra Running and CamelBak athlete Dave Mackey on a routine training run. At the summit of Bear Peak, a giant boulder became dislodged sending Mackey tumbling down the mountain before it also landed on him crushing his left leg. After a series of unsuccessful surgeries over the next year plus to get back to normal, he and his family difficult decision to amputate. This is his story about perseverance and coming back from the injury to attempting to complete the Leadville Race Series to become the first ever leg amputee to call himself a “Leadman”.
Billy Yang does a great job on all his films.

We watched this the other day….and my hands were sweating.
I’ve done a little bit of climbing….taught it at a NC camp….really low level stuff….and even the easy stuff terrified me.
If they did an MRI of my brain (spoiler), the technicians would say, “you’re afraid of everything! You have a very active fear center….”
Alex Honnold stays focused.
His fear center stays under wraps.
This movie was intense….and true….and pretty darn great.
I needed a chalkbag to watch it though….sweating hands when I’m safe on the ground.
It looks like these guys are having a good time making music together.
What tight harmonies…..
Watching this, I’m reminded of how much pleasure making and listening to music over the years has brought me.
I don’t make it as often as I’d like….but, sometimes, I catch myself absentmindedly reaching out to turn on the music when I’ve been listening to it already.
That’s goofy….but shows how omnipresent music is in my life.
If I’m breathing, I’d be listening to music every minute… if I could.
Every minute.
Here’s a short video that features clips from a number of Kirsten Dirksen’s videos.
She has a lot of high quality content.
