Here’s a film by Ryan Leighton.
Nice documentary about a father and son doing the thru hike of the Appalachian Trail.

A 20 minute video about making a pair of flip flops might not be everyone’s cup of tea….but, it’s a good thing to see this level of competency applied to anything.
These are beautiful.
And…it’s really good to see the correct way to do this and the products he used to do it.
Knowing how to do something and being able to do something are two different things.
This guy really knows how to make a pair of flip flops.
Here’s another video from the Northmen YouTube channel.
Off in Norway where we see a Norwegian building an axe.
Go, Norway!
We have some of these in our kitchen.
Cheap.
Easy to sharpen.
It looks like a bunch of folks think that they’re pretty good….even out of the kitchen and into the woods.
Cool.
I don’t take great chances.
Of course, it’s supposed to ice tonight on the roads (and everywhere else)….and the PO makes sure that I’m out there in the worst of it….but …I don’t take great chances if I can avoid it.
I don’t climb up big rocks.
This is such a crappy name for a documentary.
“What if he falls?”
What?!!
If we’re born, we’re on a path to die.
That’s the reality for everyone.
But….maybe we live while we can?
I look forward to seeing this film.
I don’t look forward to driving on the ice.
Maybe it will just rain.
Here’s the third part of the “Grandfather” documentary from the Northmen Guild.
Here’s a hardworking fellow….for sure.
Video from the Northmen YouTube channel.
Another great video brought to me (!) by the Northmen Guild.
Peaceful.
Taking care of business….focused….working hard….peaceful.
Good stuff.
Any of these Northmen videos are great….and this one is no exception.
Dudes out in the woods….working….felling a pine tree without any chainsaws.
Quiet.
And….the disclaimer at the end….”work hard, stay humble”.
Beautiful.
