I must have listened to the Steely Dan version a hundred times….or more.
These guys do a darn good job on this cover.
And…melodica and mandolin is a nice mix.
A three piece band and a lot of talent can make a mighty fine noise….
OK…so a good resolution might be…in the coming year…to attack life with passion and artistry…invention…and a bucketful of humor.
That might work out better for me than the way I live sometimes.

A buddy said that he did the bulk of his music listening these days on YouTube.
Makes sense when you can discover people and stories like this one.
I like finding people who put the “artist” part in the phrase “musical artist”.

I heard a minister….preacher…preach at me guy…say that people were either blessed or cursed.
I think that he was saying that if you were faithful…and, more importantly, faithful with your tithes…that you were blessed.
If you didn’t have enough faith to pump income to his ministry…you were cursed.
Hmmmmmmm.

When you say “recording artist”, people don’t usually mean what they’re saying.
Most music these days just seems to be “product”…produced by people programmed to make music that fits a demographic…with only the goal of making money behind it.
In björk’s case….she’s an artist who happens to express the bulk of her art through music….so…she’s a recording artist.
This is so crazy sonically and visually…so much fun.
