My friends are cool…but none of them play a shovel.

This is a dude’s house.
I don’t mean “look! It’s some dude’s house!”
I mean….this is a DUDE’S HOUSE.
Look at the huge garage…and the smaller living area attached to it.
Smart.
Of course, it would need some tweaking to get it up to large family standards…but, it’s cool just the way it is.
My Dad always said that I should build a garage with an apartment over it…when I was single and talking about getting a place together.
This is a smart way to build…polished concrete and simple finishes.
Man…someday I’ll work on our cars in a shop like this….not in the cold gravel.

I must have listened to the Steely Dan version a hundred times….or more.
These guys do a darn good job on this cover.
And…melodica and mandolin is a nice mix.
A three piece band and a lot of talent can make a mighty fine noise….
OK…so a good resolution might be…in the coming year…to attack life with passion and artistry…invention…and a bucketful of humor.
That might work out better for me than the way I live sometimes.
To sleepwalk through a life is no way to live.

My youngest son, Nate, has the same kind of energy as Jack Black.
Nate doesn’t cuss like Jack Black…yet.

But…the physicality and the humor are already well in place.
