Someone was a Viking

My lower back is messed up right now.

That’s kind of spooky when what you do for a living involves driving all day and getting in and out of your vehicle.

That’s hard when you can’t put on your socks in the morning.

I’ve been trying to stretch….keep moving….rest….all sorts of things….but it doesn’t seem to be getting better.

This morning I went for a walk at 4:30….thinking that the warm-up might make the stretching more effective.

When I was walking, I thought, “man….don’t be a pud! Some of your people were probably Vikings! They could get an arm cut off in battle and still keep on fighting! Don’t let delivering the mail put you down for the count! Don’t let it happen!”

I don’t think I used that many exclamation points when I was thinking something close to those thoughts, though.

Toughness is a habit…it’s a lifestyle.

I’m no Viking….but I can be tough.

Right?

I’ve got to go….I can’t sit in this chair any longer….
