I Drive On The Ground…

I deliver too many Amazon packages.

I’m overloaded.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

I’m afraid of heights and this video helps me remember that my job is relatively safe and close to the ground.

I have so much to be thankful for…if I just concentrate on all the bad things that could be happening to me.

I have so much to be thankful for….close to the ground.

Karla Bonoff…”Home”

We watched SNL on Hulu last night and, during the musical number, I wondered what happened to all the good songs…

It was a cowboy-themed weirdness…lots of jumping around…gyrating…but I couldn’t tell you what the song was about.

Bad.

Everyone is nostalgic for the things they knew when they were “younger” (whew…snuck up on me..)…but the period I’m nostalgic for was a good one.

That whole late 60’s-early 70’s was a golden time for songs.

I need good music…all the time.

Here’s some Karla Bonoff.

She’s one of the good ones….

SKILL! VISION! and…ENTHUSIASM!! Funky Pacific Northwest buildings!

Look what these guys have done!

Cool!

Funky little buildings with living roofs…lots of custom woodwork…vision and skill in the Pacific Northwest!

It brings me great energy to see this kind of vision.

I could do this if I don’t age out of the ability to expend the kind of energy a big project would need…

One thing at a time…but…there always has to be at least ONE THING AT A TIME!

You don’t get to “one thing at a time” by watching TV all the time.

You don’t get to “accomplishment” by only entertaining yourself every minute of the day.

All play and no work makes Jack a….what?

A lazy underachiever?

Awwwww….I like these funky buildings!

And…check out the camper cover the dude built on the old Ford truck!

Coooooooooool.

Here’s a link to more from “Cabinland” on YouTube….

“life is an amazing complexity of self-organization…”

This is an interview that Vandana Shiva did with a French reporter on…French TV.

I wasn’t familiar with Vandana Shiva before I watched this…but…I liked her.

She has a lot to say that makes a lot of sense about the need for biodiversity and the corruption of our environment by corporations like Monsanto imposing their profit-making and destructive policies on farmers.

We know it’s all happening…but don’t often understand how deeply damaging this new way of farming (and living) really is.

“Conspiracy Theory” becomes something else when the concern is valid and the problem is real.

It’s a lot to think about.

“Tony Rebel” Steamed Vegetable…Rasta Style

This is like the most opposite of what I do.

I’m stressed and harried….hurried between mailboxes.

Pee-cup drug tested and over-caffeinated…

Aware of every bump in the road.

This guy is most probably under the influence of marijuana…and look what a mellow time he is having cooking these vegetables!

I’d like to cook some vegetables, too….

They say “airtime” when it goes on your TV…

This guy is moving through time at the same speed as the air.

You go, Rastaman!

You go….slowwwwwww and easy.

Scratch this Record

My buddy John and I listened to his brother Tommy’s Allman Brothers album…and then we put on an album by Captain Beefheart…and John scratched the heck out of it with his pocket knife.

That’s being a critic at it’s most basic and honest level, right?

Scratch this record.

Beefheart was too weird after the Allmans.
